Citizens, whose title deeds were distributed first, and who were immediately deported, held a protest march in Şahintepe Mahallesi on the Kanal Istanbul route. Neighborhood residents said in a statement, “Today, we will not allow Şahintepe to be handed over to someone else. As victims, we want our rights," he said.

In the Şahintepe District of Istanbul Başakşehir, on the Kanal Istanbul route, the title deeds were first distributed to the citizens, and then the decision of exile was issued. The locals rebelled against the decision.

Citizens marched in the neighborhood today and made a press statement. The police took extensive security measures in the streets.

“WE WANT OUR RIGHTS”

Neighborhood residents, in their statement, said, “We are the owner of this neighborhood. We built this neighborhood out of nothing. We are the ones who brought this neighborhood to this state. Nobody built these buildings as a blessing for us. We gave our life, our savings, the future of our children. We knew how to go and live elsewhere. We made all our investments in Şahintepe, saying that 'Şahitepe is ours'. Today, we will not allow Şahintepe to be handed over to someone else. As victims, we demand our rights.” (SPOKESMAN)
