Kuruçeşme Tramway Project Continues with Reinforced Concrete Productions

Within the scope of Kuruçeşme Tram Line Project, the existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of the D-100 upon completion of the works. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams continue their infrastructure and superstructure works on the field, while the tram bridge viaduct continues their reinforced concrete works.

TWO PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS IS COMPLETED

Within the scope of Kuruçeşme Tram Line project, two new and modern pedestrian overpasses, one 59 meters and the other 52 meters long, were built in front of the private hospital and Izmit High School in the region. The elevators of the overpasses, all of which have been completed, will be commissioned in the coming days.

REINFORCED CONCRETE MANUFACTURING ON THE BRIDGE VIADUCT

The existing Akçaray Tram Line will be connected to Kuruçeşme by passing from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of D-100 upon completion of the works. In order to provide this transition, a tram overpass with a length of 290 meters and a length of 9 legs and 8 spans is being built. As part of the tram overpass works, bored piles are manufactured on the side piers on the Plajyolu side, while reinforced concrete work is carried out on the middle piers on both sides of the D-100. While the bored pile manufacturing is planned to be completed within a week, the Metropolitan teams are manufacturing a total of 130 bored piles for the tram bridge viaduct within the scope of the project. In addition, within the scope of the works, the rainwater infrastructure line and the pocket works in front of Izmit High School continue with the manufacture of pavements and pedestrian guardrails.

TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS

With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the Akçaray tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will increase to 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will reach 16.
