Karaismailoğlu stated that national electric trains will be on the rails in 2022, and said, “We are leaving behind a strong year for urban rail systems, in addition to our railway investments that we have completed, made progress and planned on a national scale. The contribution of urban rail systems to the economy and the environment is at a level that we cannot ignore. We have 10 projects under construction in six provinces. The year 2022 will be a year in which very large and important urban rail system projects will be realized. Also, next year, our national electric trains will be on the rails. We will continue the breakthroughs we have made in the railways, which we declared as a reform area in 2021, in the new year," he said.
