2008 – Due to the successive deaths of shipyard workers in Istanbul due to subcontractors and precarious working conditions, Port went on strike, using its strength from production, upon the call of the Shipyard Shipbuilding and Repair Workers' Union (LİMTER-İŞ). While 70% participation in the two-day strike in the Tuzla shipyards region, many shipyards stopped working. DİSK also supported a 24-hour sit-in strike in Tuzla with the slogan “Either Union or Death”. After the strike, the shipyard bosses accepted the demands of the workers.
2010 – There was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile.
2020 – Idlib attack: 33 soldiers were killed and 32 soldiers were injured as a result of the attack on the Turkish convoy by the Syrian Government in Idlib.
