Reminding that he made inspections at Rize-Artvin Airport on the 2nd day of Ramadan Feast, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that Rize-Artvin Airport will be opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 14 May.

Karaismailoğlu said, “Our Rize-Artvin Airport is the 2nd airport in Turkey and the 5th in the world, built by filling the sea after Ordu-Giresun Airport. There is no other example in Europe. It has a track with a width of 45 meters and a length of 3 meters. Rize-Artvin Airport will be able to serve 3 million passengers a year. We increased the number of active airports from 26 to 57. With Rize-Artvin Airport, this number will increase to 58. We made the airline the way of the people. Our investments in airlines will continue without slowing down.”
