The memorial was erected in memory of those who died in the bridge disaster

The monument was erected to commemorate those who died in the bridge disaster: 6 in Çaycuma District 2012 April XNUMX crashed the Filyos River and drowned the municipality for citizens.
Veli Kaya, Ali Rıza Kaya, Tahir Özkara, Hayriye Güner, Alim Başören, Mehmet Başören, Meryem Başören, Aziz Gülşen, Kemal Gülşen, lost their lives in Çaycuma district of Zonguldak on April 6, 2012, when the 68-meter bridge of the district collapsed. Çaycuma Municipality built a memorial for the memories of Sezgin Gülşen, Necati Azaklıoğlu, Kadın Saraç, Serdar Saraç, Nazife Bark and İsmail Örenbaş and remembered them once again. In the statue made at the entrance of the district, the statue of the "Burning Woman" placed on the top of the statue and the "April 6 Monument", which has a modern appearance with the landscaping made around it, with the water pouring into the pool under the statue and the water pouring out from the feet of that statue passing over the names. attracts his attention.
Making a statement on the subject, Çaycuma Mayor Bülent Kantarcı stated that 15 people lost their lives after the disaster and even the bodies of those who remained behind could not be reached, saying, “Çaycuma started to witness a great transformation after 30 March. In Çaycuma, we deal with the fundamentals of many things that have not been done until today, but are realizing. One of the biggest problems of these is that Çaycuma did not have an understanding of intersection and square. We promised our people that "we will build new crossroads and squares like this" in our election declaration. We have started to do these since the day we arrived. A large vehicle from these squares and intersections could not make one turn and maneuver at a time. This was a matter of shame and shame for Çaycuma. We both made arrangements in these squares, and on the other hand, we rolled up our sleeves for a new urban culture and urban identity in Çaycuma by making signature sculptures and pools with water in the squares that we call 'smart crossroads'. Our 2 squares and 2 intersections are completely finished. The first of these is the '6 April Monument Junction' right after leaving the bridge at the entrance of Çaycuma. As is known, we were exposed to a great disaster in 2012. "We lost 15 people in this disaster and the bodies of 4 of them could not be reached," he said. Çaycuma Mayor Bülent Kantarcı continued as follows:
“THIS EVENT IS A PAINFUL EVENT FOR MEATING”
"Turkey's media when this event has established headquarters here. He made live broadcasts from here for days. This is a bitter event for Caycuma. To remind us of this pain to the new generations and to those who came to Çaycuma after that and every 6 here with a statue of Yak Yakaran Kadın mış with its arms raised to remember them all the time here in April, and the water leaking from under her feet, through the names of those 15 people. The water flows into the pool, which represents the Filyos River below. The waters flowing over those names also represent that our people were submerged. ”
"I HAVE BEAUTIFUL AS I HAVE WORKS TO ÇAYCUMA"
Kantarcı, due to his positive work in the district, both the media and the work done by the public, he said that through social media. Ant These monuments attracted great attention. Çaycuma people began to feel great enthusiasm for these beautiful works. There are great tastes in the media and social media. I am proud to bring such works to Çaycuma. On the one hand, the square and our statue are at the Filyos Junction. We had a very nice pool square with the waters scattering from the lap of the mermaid representing the sea and the water gushing out of the mouth of the 3 dolphin around it. ”
“ÇAYCUMA IS ON THE WAY TO BE A MODERN CITY”
President Kantarcı, Çaycuma'nın increasingly becoming modern, noting that the modern city will progress rapidly on the road, he said. Ant We will save the roads from the occupation of vehicles. We'il open it to pedestrians and cyclists. We are very ambitious, especially on the bike path. Çaycuma will be the city of pedestrian and bicycle. Çaycuma will be an exemplary settlement in the region. I express my happiness as a Mayor for performing such services in Çaycuma, which is suitable for all aspects of geography. ”
