The number of people who cannot use the toilet outside and have phobia has increased more with the epidemic. Stating that this situation is defined as shy bladder syndrome, experts state that people experience anxiety and paranoia as they will get sick, and they do not consume liquids and eat in order not to use the toilet. Experts point out that not consuming enough fluids to avoid using the toilet can lead to many diseases such as kidney failure and reproductive problems.

Pointing out that the number of people who cannot go to the toilet outside and have toilet phobia is quite high, Psychiatry Specialist Assoc. Dr. Barış Önen Ünsalver said, “The disease called shy bladder syndrome has increased with the epidemic. People who do not want to use the toilets outside their home do not drink water as a precaution. This disease also invites other health problems.” said

Anxiety and paranoia take effect

Psychiatrist Assoc. Dr. Barış Önen Ünsalver said that he thinks that when people go to the toilet, they will get sick and someone will watch them.

“We can list all these worries, paranoia or various obsessions as the underlying causes of this anxiety and fear. That's why there are people who don't eat, don't drink water, or postpone or cancel many of their plans and have difficulties even in their profession. In patients who do not take enough fluid, many diseases can occur, from kidney failure to reproduction. Kidney stones are more common, urinary tract diseases may be encountered more frequently in such patients.
