Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that the 5th stage of the Kayseri rail system, which will provide uninterrupted modern and comfortable transportation between Talas Mevlana and Cumhuriyet Square, will even start test drives as of May 1.

Working day and night for more comfortable, safer and faster transportation in the city, both on the highway and on the rail system, Mayor Büyükkılıç held a coordination meeting at the construction site of the Tram Line project between the Rail System 5th Stage Talas Mevlana-Cumhuriyet Square with Gülermak-YDA officials.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç received a comprehensive briefing on the project at the meeting attended by Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın and Deputy Secretary General Ali Hasdal, as well as transportation staff, heads of departments, and contractor company officials.

Evaluating the latest situation, Mayor Büyükkılıç said in his statement that "Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality continues to implement the projects it has done to increase comfort in transportation and to carry more passengers in public transportation, one by one."

PRESIDENT BÜYÜKKILIÇ GIVEN THE GLORY

President Büyükkılıç, who gave the good news that the test drives of the Tram Line between Talas Mevlana-Cumhuriyet Meydani will start as of May 5, said:

“Especially, our direct line, Talas, which is the center of education with a population of approximately 200 thousand, and our direct line, which will start from Mevlana District and go to Cumhuriyet Square in front of İlim Yayma, is approaching 95 percent, I hope, in line with the information given by the technical committee here, with the Spring Festival as of May 1st. together, they gave us the good news that the test drive will start. We, too, give this good news to our fellow citizens of Kayseri who love, trust and choose us, especially to our souls and friends living in Talas. Hopefully, as of May 1, test drives will begin. Later on, passenger transportation will start and thus Mevlana Mahallesi, with a population of nearly 100 thousand, is one of our largest neighborhoods apart from Talas. Our 6-kilometer line, which brings such a potential together with our Kayseri, will be realized. We wish you good luck in advance.”

TALAS INSPECTED THE RAIL SYSTEM LINE
