State Airports Authority (DHMI) Aviation Academy is 6 Years Old!

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure DHMI Aviation Academy, which continues to achieve success on a global scale with its educational infrastructure at international standards, strong staff and physical facilities, celebrated its 6th year.

The shining star of civil aviation, DHMI resolutely meets all the requirements of the information age we live in. It shares the power of knowledge both through in-house training activities and by organizing necessary training programs for the aviation industry.

214.204 PEOPLE HAVE ATTENDED THE TRAINING SINCE IT WAS OPENED

With a deep-rooted education tradition and modern education vision, DHMI Aviation Academy continues to make a name for itself in the international arena with the quality education it provides according to the ICAO and EUROCONTROL criteria of which it is a member.

Since the establishment of the Aviation Academy, a total of 214.204 people, including our staff and other stakeholders in the aviation sector, have been trained in different aviation subjects. Thus, a total income of 10.541.842,14 TL was obtained from these trainings.

TRAINING GIVEN TO 2022 THOUSAND PEOPLE IN 50

In 2022, approximately 50 thousand personnel were trained at the DHMI Aviation Academy in line with the needs of all units, especially in the fields of navigation and operation. Diploma/certificate/participation certificate were presented to the students who successfully completed the education process.

In addition to the face-to-face trainings in 2022, trainings were carried out via the "Training Management System", which was made available by the Aviation Training Department, using the distance education method.

EDUCATION ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE AGE

At DHMI Aviation Academy, the technological infrastructure suitable for the requirements of the digitalization age is provided, and the trainings continue to be given through the “Distance Education Platform”.

Online and video-based training was provided to 53.455 trainees via the Aviation Academy's distance education platform.

In addition, 17 million 397 thousand TL was saved by providing distance education services to the national and international sector.

17 MILLION 397 thousand TL SAVED WITH DHMI EDUCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

DHMI Aviation Academy, which aims to maintain the quality education it provides as an aviation university, continues to meet the demands coming from the national and international sectors with its experienced personnel and training staff on the way to which it started by believing in the power of knowledge.

In this context; In 2022, Basic Air Traffic Training was given to the Air Traffic Controllers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and refresher trainings were given to the Azerbaijan Air Traffic Controllers at the Aviation Academy Esenboğa facilities. Planning for the 2023 education demands of these countries continues.

In addition, training support was provided to the Presidency Protection Services General Directorate and Ministry of Interior Gendarmerie General Command personnel, Nişantaşı University Air Traffic Department students, and TAV, HEAŞ, HAVAŞ, THY, AYJET, AIRPAK companies. As a result of the external training services provided in 2022, approximately 3 million 200 thousand TL income was recorded.
