85% of Terme Fire Station Construction Completed

85% of the fire station construction made by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in Terme has been completed. President Mustafa Demir said, “We are increasing the number of stations in order to raise the bar for the Metropolitan Fire Department, which provides exemplary services to Turkey.”

The Metropolitan Municipality continues to strengthen the fire brigade in all districts in line with its understanding of faster and higher quality service. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which opened the Vezirköprü station before, is also renewing its stations in Atakum and Terme. While the construction works in Atakum continue, the works in Terme have come to an end. 6% of the construction of the station building with a cost of 538 million 862 thousand 85 liras has been completed. In addition, it was reported that the tender for the construction of the new fire station to be built in Yakakent district was carried out, and the tender process continues in the Kıran District of İlkadım district.

Stating that they have increased the number of fire stations in order to meet the world criteria in responding to disasters, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “The rural area of ​​our city is quite large and the distance is long. We want to reduce the time as much as possible. For this purpose, we are increasing the number of our stations to 19. We are bringing 2 stations to our city, with 4 of them being renovated. We will complete the construction of the stations and put them into service as soon as possible. Because our priority is always the life and health of our people. Our goal is to reach 25 stations," he said.
