Beam Assemblies Started at Mudanya Junction Second Connection Arm

Beam assemblies have started on the second connection arm that Bursa Metropolitan Municipality implemented at Mudanya Junction in order to breathe life into Acemler Junction.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to relieve the traffic in Acemler, where the density is 180-15 percent higher than the 10 July Martyrs Bridge, where the average daily passage is around 12 thousand vehicles in Istanbul. Metropolitan Municipality, which previously made lane widening on the Acemler Junction connecting branches and connected Hayran Cadde and Oulu Cadde with a tube passage, accelerated the Mudanya Junction work, which directly affected the traffic in the region. While asphalting works are being completed on the arm designed at Mudanya Junction, which allows vehicles coming from the direction of Odunluk, Dikkaldırım and Beşevler to go to the city center 'near the stadium'; assembly started on the second arm. 220 beams will be assembled for the construction of a 38-meter bridge that will directly connect the vehicles coming from the direction of Odunluk, Dikkaldırım and Beşevler to the direction of Mudanya and İzmir. The works are carried out at night, considering the traffic density in the region. The beams, which are lifted by crane with great care, are mounted on the bridge piers. After the assembly, which is aimed to be completed in a short time, asphalting will be done and the junction link arm will be opened to traffic, which will reduce the burden of Acemler a little more.

Transportation investments do not slow down

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş reminded that they have already completed the connection road works designed at Mudanya Junction, which will allow vehicles coming from both directions to go to Hayran Street, Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez Hospital and Hüdavendigar District without entering Acemler. Emphasizing that the works on the road that will connect the vehicles coming from the direction of Odunluk, Dikkaldırım and Beşevler to the D200 Highway from the side of the stadium have been completed, President Aktaş said, “Now, vehicles coming from the direction of Odunluk, Dikkaldırım and Beşevler will be able to connect to the main road without having to go to the Orhaneli or Acemler intersections. The assembly started on the Mudanya road connection viaduct, which constitutes the second leg of the project. With this study, vehicles will be directly connected to Mudanya and İzmir roads. In this way, both the burden of Acemler will decrease and the course of the traffic will accelerate.”
