İkitelli City Hospital to Make Ministries with Metro Construction

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, said in a statement, the whole world a new type under the influence coronavirus (Kovid-19) while continuing fight with the epidemic, Turkey also said it continued to resolutely work on this issue by the Ministry of Health.

Explaining that a daily movement of 2 thousand people is expected in the hospital with 800 thousand 100 beds equipped with the most modern devices of the world, Karaismailoğlu said, “The opening of the hospital will be held in May with the instructions of our President. But the biggest problem is the transportation routes around the hospital. ” said.

Stating that some of the roads of the hospital before the local elections were completed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Karaismailoğlu said, “The other part of the roads is not constructed even though it is on the road network of IMM. When the hospital, whose opening was opened in May, it is not possible for citizens, patients, visitors and accompanying persons to access the hospital. For this reason, the access roads of the hospital were taken to the road network of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure upon the instructions of our President. As of today, we started the production of the roads around the hospital quickly. Currently, our contractor in the field has begun his work quickly to raise roads to the opening of the hospital with work machines and workers. In May, our roads will start to serve with our hospital. In this troubled process, it will provide great convenience to our citizens and patients. It will contribute to our fight against Kovid-19.

“This Line Is Completely In The Budget Of IMM But Unfortunately It Is Not Made”

Reminding that the tender of the 6-kilometer-long Başakşehir-Kayaşehir subway of İkitelli City Hospital, which is one of the largest hospitals in its own scale, was awarded by İBB in 2017, Karaismailoğlu stated that this subway line was contracted and delivered in April.

Stating that the said subway construction was stopped in April 2017-2018, Karaismailoğlu stated that a written order was given to the contractor in April to continue the construction of subway construction.

Explaining that 2018 percent of the line has been completed, 10 shafts have been opened and work continues at 3 stations after April 4, before the local elections, Karaismailoğlu said:

“Unfortunately, in such a complex where a daily movement of 100 thousand people is expected, even a nail does not crash while the subway construction must be done. Construction of 4 subways is currently openly held. This line is entirely within the budget of IMM, it has allowances, contractors, but unfortunately it is not made. I present this to the public's discretion. ”
