The late payment interest rate applied to public receivables was determined as 3,5 percent, and the deferment interest rate was determined as 36 percent annually. The delay interest for public receivables was 3,5 percent and the deferment interest was 36 percent annually.

The Presidential Decree on the Redetermination of the Delay Fee Rate for Public Receivables was published in the Official Gazette.

According to the decision, the late payment interest rate included in the Law No. 6183 on the Collection Procedure of Public Receivables became 3,5 percent, to be applied separately for each month.

On the other hand, the Collection General Communiqué of the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, the deferred interest rate applied to public receivables, which is 24 percent annually, has been determined as 36 percent as of today.

An annual deferment interest of 36 percent will be applied to public receivables postponed based on applications to be made as of today.

The old deferment interest rate will need to be applied to public receivables that will be deferred based on applications made before the publication date of the communiqué and public receivables that were postponed before the publication date of the communiqué and paid in accordance with the deferment conditions, as long as they are paid in accordance with the deferment conditions, starting from the application date.

If the postponement of public receivables for which a postponement request was made before today and the request was accepted and postponed is violated, but a new postponement is made upon new requests, the old deferment interest rate will be valid until today, and 36 percent deferment interest will be valid for the installment amounts to be paid after today.
