Dr. Ayşen Erdinçler “The time of the world is getting short! To keep global warming below 21 degrees Celsius in the 1.5st century, we have no choice but to halve our annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 6th Assessment Report (2021) states that 'Climate change caused by greenhouse gas emissions from human activities is already harming and killing people around the world, harming food production, destroying nature and slowing economic growth' . “For this reason, we are trying to do our part for a green, fair and resilient Istanbul. A sustainable, livable and durable Istanbul is the dream of all of us. For this, we signed 2050 as the deadline to become a Carbon Neutral city in 2020. In this context, we have prepared our Climate Change Action Plan. This plan is the vision document of IMM in the fight against climate change.” said.
