Ada Express, which operates between Adapazarı and Istanbul, resumes 19 year after being stopped due to the Kovid-1 outbreak.

THE OUTBREAK STOP

With the spread of the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic in our country, the flights of the Ada Express were stopped on March 28, 2020, along with other train services. In the remaining process, while High Speed Train (YHT) services were started, no statement was made about when the regional trains will run. As of March 1, YHTs started to operate at full capacity, and planning for regional train services started.

YAVUZ ANNOUNCED

Ali İhsan Yavuz, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Sakarya Deputy, made a statement that could be called "good news" on this issue yesterday. Yavuz said that he received the information from the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, whom he met in Istanbul, that the Ada Train will start its voyages in a controlled manner from 20 March. The flights are expected to start as 4 mutual flights in the first place. The departure times are not yet clear.

IT STOPPED AND COME

The Island Train services, which were stopped in 2012 due to the YHT line works, started to operate between Arifiye and Pendik on January 5, 2015. The Ada Train, which came to Mithatpaşa Station after a while, started to work from Adapazarı Station on March 2019, just before the 16 local elections. Trains can go to Pendik station due to the restoration work ongoing at the historical Haydarpaşa Station in Istanbul.
