Honaz Tunnel and Ring Road, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will inaugurate on January 28, will greatly relieve the traffic density of Denizli. The 2.640 m tunnel and 32 km ring road connecting the Aegean and the Mediterranean will reduce the travel time from 45 minutes to 15 minutes.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who will be in Denizli on Saturday, January 28th for a series of programs and a mass opening ceremony, will attend the mass opening ceremony at 29 on 13.00 October Boulevard Özay Glum Square. President Erdoğan will open a total of 232 facilities, including investments by the government, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities. With the commissioning of the project, vehicles that will go to Antalya and Muğla from İzmir, Aydın and Pamukkale, and Uşak and Ankara routes will not have to enter Denizli city center.
Travel time will be reduced from 45 minutes to 15 minutes with the Honaz Tunnel and Ring Road connecting the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. The 2 m tunnel and 640 km ring road, one of the largest in the Aegean, will save time and fuel.
A historic day for Denizli
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan stated that the Honaz Tunnel and the Ring Road are among the "firsts" of the city and that they are very important investments for Denizli. President Zolan, who thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karasimailoğlu and everyone who contributed to the project for their support, said, “January 28 is a historic day for our Denizli. With the participation of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will inaugurate 232 facilities, including the Honaz Tunnel and the Ring Road. I am waiting for all my fellow countrymen to our collective opening feast that will be held at 29 on 13.00 October Boulevard Özay Heart Square”.
