Energy Efficiency Move from MESKİ

 Following technological developments closely, MESKİ meets almost all of the energy consumption in the water tanks in Toroslar, Tarsus and Yenişehir districts from Rooftop Solar Power Plants with a power of 2.82 MWp in order to save money and achieve energy efficiency. Using approximately 2023 million kWh of electricity from renewable energy in its critical facilities in 10, MESKİ produced electrical energy equivalent to the monthly electricity needs of approximately 66 thousand households (monthly consumption of 1 household was taken as 150 kWh). Thanks to the prevention of a total of 4 thousand 866 tons of carbon dioxide emissions with the energy produced, the lives of 11 thousand 840 trees were saved.
