Çatalhöyük Promotion Center was Flooded with Visitors!

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center, Turkey's largest wooden construction public building, which highlights the historical and cultural richness of the city, attracted great attention. Stating that the center has been visited by more than 2.5 thousand guests in the 30-month period since its opening, Mayor Altay invited everyone who wants to follow the traces of the past to see the Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center.

Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center, brought to the city by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, takes visitors to the ancient city on a historical journey.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Çatalhöyük, which dates back to the Neolithic period with a history of approximately 10 thousand years, has a very important place in the historical scene of Anatolia.

Reminding that they have carried out important work to introduce Çatalhöyük, which is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List, to the whole world and to transfer it safely to the future, Mayor Altay said, “We opened our Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center, which we brought to our city with the support of our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, last November 21. Our center has become one of the most important tourism destinations of our city in the 2.5-month period since its opening. "Our center, which was visited by more than 30 thousand guests from Konya and outside Konya during this process, sheds light on the thousands of years of history of Anatolia," he said.

MAYOR ALTAY INVITATED HISTORY AND ARCHEOLOGY ENTHUSIASTS TO VIEW THE CENTER

Expressing that they are very pleased with the intense interest in the Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center in a short time, Mayor Altay said, “The center, which is highly appreciated as a modern and interactive area that offers in-depth information about the history of our city, offers visitors a unique experience. Visitors have the opportunity to explore Çatalhöyük's ancient settlement, daily life and archaeological findings from that period. I would like to express my gratitude to our Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who contributed to bringing such an important center to our city that will contribute to the development of Konya tourism. "I invite all history and archeology enthusiasts who want to follow the traces of the past to see our center," he said.
