With the Law No. 7440 published in the Official Gazette, subscribers with unpaid debts due on or before 31 December 2022 will be able to restructure their debts of BUSKİ by taking advantage of the restructuring opportunity. The law, which provides a discount of up to 90 percent in delay interest in cash payments, also offers equal installments up to 48 months.
With the said law, important opportunities not to be missed are offered for subscribers in the restructuring and payment of debts of BUSKI. Debts such as receivables for water and wastewater, receivables for participation in expenditures (HKP), penalties (illegal water minutes) can be paid in cash and in installments.
Citizens who want to benefit from the configuration should apply to BUSKİ central and district branch offices until the deadline of 31 May 2023, and subscribers who are legally followed should only apply to the Acemler - BUSKİ central units.
The aforementioned applications can also be made via e-government (turkiye.gov.tr) or by mail.
In addition, for citizens who will apply by mail, the application date will be considered as the date on which the applications are sent to the mail if they are sent by registered mail or APS, and when they are recorded in the records of the collection office if they are sent by ordinary mail.
Upfront 90 percent discount
In case the payments are made in cash until 30.06.2023 (due to the official holiday), which is the first due date, until 03 July 2023, a 90 percent discount in the late interest rate (from the amount to be calculated by taking into account the D-PPI index), and if the installment payment option is preferred, the first installment is paid. provided that all installments are paid on time; 90 percent discount on late payment interest will be provided. Payments for restructured debts will be paid in monthly periods and can be paid in installments with 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 equal installments.
From the remaining installments, provided that the cash/first and second installments to be paid in accordance with this law are paid in full and on time; If three or less installments are not paid on time in a calendar year, the provisions of the Law shall continue to be paid.
However, if the cash/first and second installments are not paid on time and in full, and if more than three installments are not paid in a calendar year, the right to benefit from the provisions of this law is forfeited.
