Balıkesir Gökköy Logistics Center is in service: Balıkesir (Gökköy) Logistics Center has been completed to make Balıkesir one of the most important logistics centers in the world. Balıkesir (Gökköy) Logistics Center, which will elevate Balıkesir to an important position in the Europe-Asia line, will be put into service by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 15 March 2015 at 13.30 in Balıkesir.

With the realization of Tekirdağ-Bandırma Tren-Feri Project; With the commissioning of the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway line, all kinds of cargoes produced in Balıkesir and its surroundings will be easily transported from Balıkesir (Gökköy) Logistics Center which will be connected to Asia.

From the logistics center, cars, containers, chipboard, MDF, marble products, foodstuffs (meat and dairy products, dry food, etc.), kaolin, fiber and synthetic materials, beverage materials, coal, military cargo, iron ore, industrial products, etc. . transports will be made.

8.247 m² of covered service building with 59.560 m² concrete pavements, ramps and loading area present in Balikesir (Gökköy) 1 million tons for the logistics sector in Turkey at the Logistics Center carrying capacity will be achieved in our country 211 thousand m² of logistics space will be gained.

On the other hand, within the scope of 2023 objectives; In the four corners of our country, it was aimed to open the 20 pieces logistics center in areas close to Organized Industrial Zones. These centers; Balıkesir (Gökköy) together with 7 logistics center; Samsun (Gelemen), Uşak, Denizli (Kaklik), Izmit (Kosekoy), Eskisehir (Hasanbey) and Halkalı has been put into operation. 5 continues the construction works of the logistics center. The project, expropriation and construction tendering procedures are continuing for other logistics centers.

27 Million Tons of Additional Transportation

With the launch of all logistics centers, the 27 million tons of additional transportation facility, 9 million square meters, open space, stock area, container stock and handling area will be added to the Turkish logistics sector annually.
