Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) General Directorate started work to build a 2 thousand 116 meter rainwater line in Göksu District of Etimesgut district and Susuz District of Yenimahalle district.

ASKİ took action for Göksu District of Etimesgut district and Susuz District of Yenimahalle district, where floods occur in rainy weather because there is no rain water line around them. ASKİ teams, which installed 2 thousand 116 meters of rain water line in the region, will give a sigh of relief to the residents of 2. İnönü Street (Etimesgut) and Hisar Street (Yenimahalle).

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who announced the latest situation regarding the works carried out in Göksu and Susuz Neighborhoods with a post on his social media accounts, said: “Strong infrastructure, strong city, strong Ankara. We started work to build a 2 thousand 116 meter rainwater line in Göksu District of Etimesgut district and Susuz District of Yenimahalle district. "When our work is completed, the floods and floods that have been going on for 2 years on 7. İnönü Street on the Etimesgut border and Hisar Street in Yenimahalle will come to an end." he said.

ASKİ General Manager Memduh Aslan Akçay, together with his technical team, first visited 2. İnönü Street and then Hisar Street and inspected the ongoing works.

Giving information about the work carried out on 2. İnönü Street, Akçay said, “Our friends are trying to solve the problems of the region. "Not only here, but also in the whole of Etimesgut, almost twice as much investment was made in this period compared to the previous period." said.

Akçay also stated that the total investment cost of the investments to be made in 2 neighborhoods is planned to be approximately 16 million TL.

Eryaman Göksu Neighborhood Headman Aytaç Fatih Aydoğan also noted the following:

“Approximately 35 thousand people live in our neighborhood. We identify and solve our problematic areas one by one together with our regional managers. There was also a problem on our 2nd İnönü Street. Puddles formed during the rains were causing problems in our sites here. Our citizens' vehicles were being damaged. “This is a 7-year problem.”

Susuz District Headman Ahmet Sinan Kahya said:

“This problem has been going on for 5-6 years. We guessed that excessive water was accumulating on the roads due to construction. Many of our vehicles were destroyed and many of our citizens suffered. We are happy that the work has started as of today.”
