Antalya Nostalgia Tram will not be in service as of January 21

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Nostalgia Tram will not be in service as of January 21 due to maintenance and repair works. With the work to be done, a single quota will be brought to the tram line in Cumhuriyet Square, making transportation easier for disabled individuals. During the work, two electric buses will carry passengers between Zerdaliği and the Museum.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is starting maintenance and repair work on the Nostalgia Tram Line. Within the scope of the works that will begin on Sunday, January 21, the elevation difference between the sidewalks on the Nostalji Tramway in front of Cumhuriyet Street and in the areas between the Clock Tower-Cumhuriyet Square-Selekler Junction will be corrected. In addition, renovation works will be carried out on the existing sidewalks in the south direction on the Cumhuriyet Caddesi Selekler route. Nostalgia Tram will be temporarily unavailable during the works.

REPUBLIC SQUARE WILL BE ON A SINGLE LEVEL

Serkan Temuçin, Head of the Technical Affairs Department of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, said that disabled individuals have difficulties in reaching the square because the nostalgic tram line passes through the middle of Cumhuriyet Square. Serkan Temuçin stated that they will carry out the work on the nostalgic tram line very quickly and said, “By bringing Republic Square to a single quota, disabled individuals will be provided with comfortable transportation. "In order to prevent citizens from being victimized during the works, our 2 electric buses will organize ring services parallel to the tram line," he said.

RING TRIPS WILL BE ORGANIZED WITH TWO ELECTRIC BUSES

Stating that they will also carry out landscaping while carrying out this work, Metropolitan Municipality Technical Affairs Department Head Temuçin said, “We will beautify the Republic Square by renewing all the old pavements. We will complete the work we will do in Cumhuriyet Square by March 6, the date of our Ata's arrival in Antalya. "The approximate cost of the project is 30 million TL," he said.

On the Nostalgia tram line (between Zerdaliği and Museum), two electric buses will continue to carry passengers by ringing each other during tram hours on the normal route.
