AKM Children's Art Festival Begins

Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), the heart of culture and arts in Istanbul, will host an unprecedented “Children's Art Festival” between 23-18 April 23 as part of the 2022 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

AKM, which has touched the lives of generations of art lovers with its events that have shaped the world of culture and art since its re-opening, will host the “AKM Children's Art Festival” between 18-23 April 2022.

Various workshops, exhibitions, children's movies, children's theaters, concerts, giant piano, and mascots of TRT Child's most popular cartoons will meet with children for 1 week at AKM, where children will have fun while learning.

In the festival, which will start on April 18, an exhibition will be opened where the paintings participating in the 9th National Painting Competition, organized by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Directorate, will be held with the call of children across Turkey.

AKM Through Children's Eyes

Within the scope of the festival, the photographs taken by the children who will receive photography training from different parts of AKM will meet with art lovers as the “AKM Through the Eyes of Children” exhibition.

The festival, which will continue until Sunday, April 24, is getting ready to make all children experience the joy of April 11.00 to the fullest with various activities between 17.00:23 and XNUMX:XNUMX every day.

During the festival, children will be able to freely paint floors, ceilings and even furniture in the “Painting House”.

They will make the fish they have drawn swim in the sea in the interactive aquarium, and they will experience the joy of April 23 with fun music in Dance with Colors.

Children, who will enjoy making music by dancing on the giant piano, will have the opportunity to watch their favorite children's movies every day at Yeşilçam Cinema.

Children, who will be able to watch entertaining theater plays and musicals every day during the festival, will exhibit their talents in every field of art, from painting to music, from ballet to ceramics, from T-shirt painting to bead making.

Children's songs by Fatih Erkoç

Master artist Fatih Erkoç will take the stage at AKM with a repertoire of children's songs for the festival on April 22 at 17.00:XNUMX.

On April 23, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will give children an unforgettable celebration with the April 23 Special Concert.

On April 23, they will also enjoy the feast with theatrical plays, illusion shows and the Bremen Town Musicians Percussion Group at the AKM Open Air Stage.
