He was born on December 5, 1955 in Trabzon. A Mechanical Engineer, Aydın graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1978. He entered politics and served as the Nationalist Movement Party's Deputy for Trabzon in the 19th Term, Ankara in the 21st Term, and Trabzon in the 24th and 25th Term.
Aydın became a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Planning and Budget Commission in the 19th Term, a Member of the National Defense Commission in the 24th Term, and served as Group Deputy Chairman in the 21st Term and as Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the 25th Term. He also served as the Minister of Public Works and Settlement in the 57th Government.
Koray Aydın, one of the founders of the İYİ Party, served as the Deputy Chairman of the party and was elected as Ankara Deputy from the İYİ Party in the 27th and 28th terms. Aydın, who was elected as the İYİ Party TBMM Group Chairman on June 7, 2023, still continues this duty.
Koray Aydin is married and has three children.
