Ankara Metropolitan Municipality started to work on Dikmen Valley Final Stage, which has been waiting for a solution for 17 years. Speaking at the Dikmen Valley Final Stage Project Presentation and Groundbreaking Ceremony, Mansur Yavaş said, “The municipality is with the citizens in their difficult times. We are working hard to give the rights of 14 thousand right holders because there is continuity in the state. We will continue to spend the money of the people of Ankara in line with the needs of the people of Ankara. Our priority projects are not garbage projects, we will continue to work on imaginary projects without wasting a penny of Ankara residents.”

The works in Dikmen Valley Final Stage, which has been waiting for a solution for 17 years, are starting.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality held the Dikmen Valley Final Stage Project Introduction and Groundbreaking Ceremony, which will end the 17-year-old problem. Within the scope of the project, a total of 3 thousand 503 houses will be built and given to the beneficiaries.

The ceremony hosted by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş; Metropolitan Municipality bureaucrats, council members, political party representatives and rights holders attended.

YAVAŞ: “YOU WILL PROVIDE ALL OF THE ESSENTIAL SERVICES WITH THE BEST QUALITY AND THE CHEAPEST”

Speaking at the ceremony, President Mansur Yavaş said, “Today, the foundations of 3 residences are being laid here. 503 rights holders will be given their rights. So far, 1191 million lira has been paid in rent. When I say municipality, I understand this; state is public. The state cannot deceive or deceive its citizens. There are at least 670 thousand victims from Ankara. You are displacing people who have passed 14 years. You give a signed paper and promise. However, instead of keeping this promise, you are dealing with other things, spending money on garbage projects. First, people pay their debts and then do other things. We paid nearly 17 billion rents. The rents we paid did not help people, nor did the municipality benefit from this work… It only made a loss. I wish people could make a living with the rents we gave… Due to the economic difficulties experienced in the last days, the rents in Ankara started to reach 4-15 thousand. May God make it easy and give me the strength to endure.

“Why did Ankara Metropolitan Municipality not do these things?” Slow, who continued his explanations by saying:

“Today, water is sold well below its cost in Ankara. In the previous period, they sold 1 cubic meter of water for an average of 1,6 dollars. They sold a ton of it for 42 liras. They also sold the EGO bus ticket for 1 dollar. You will provide all such essential services with the highest quality at the cheapest price. Instead of doing these works by selling expensive water from ASKİ, they spent it elsewhere. You haven't bought any buses since 2013. What did you do, they say the budget. We bought 440 buses. If we didn't, the buses wouldn't be running. We are trying to maintain Ankara's transportation. We have renewed our firefighting fleet.”

“THE MUNICIPALITY IS WITH THE CITIZEN IN HARD DAY”

Noting that they are working hard to give the rights of 14 thousand right holders, Yavaş continued as follows:

“There is no delay caused by us. 15 percent died. As it gets delayed, he will die before he can see the value of the real estate he has acquired with the sweat of his own right. The old administration of our municipality went to those who passed away with the right of life, and I openly say this. That's why today's groundbreaking is so important. The people of Ankara know very well what is right and what is wrong. We will continue to spend the money of the people of Ankara in line with the needs of the people of Ankara. We are starting to pay some of the debts of the old administration by entering your houses as soon as possible and laying the foundation for living in peace with your families, at least today. I hope I will be able to give you those keys, good luck."

BRAND NEW LIVING SPACE IN THE HEART OF NATURE

At the end of the project, which includes a total of 3 residences, the beneficiaries will have a living space in the heart of nature.

In his speech; Hüseyin Gazi Çankaya, Head of Special Projects and Transformation Department, gave information about the project implemented in Dikmen Valley's Final Stage, and said:

“This place is about 186 hectares in size… It consisted of 2 slums. As a result of the agreements made between our Municipality and the beneficiaries in 235 in order to give the citizens an apartment in return for their shares or slums, we have come so far. Exactly 2006 years after the contracts started, in 10, a construction contract was signed with a company to build a house in return for a flat. However, this construction contract was terminated by the contractor as the construction was not started and the same contract was signed with PORTAŞ.”

PORTAS Chairman of the Board Dr. Mesut Özarslan said, “Within the scope of the project carried out by PORTAŞ, we are laying the foundation of a total of 1191 houses, 429 houses for our beneficiaries, 1883 houses for our municipality's own budget and 3 houses for PORTAŞ to do this job. The projects we will build will be earthquake resistant, environmentally friendly, livable and suitable for housing access. As we did in Ballıkuyumcu, which we built a year ago, we will realize a sales method suitable for housing access of people below the market conditions in this region, and we will offer it to you.”
