81 years ago, with the iron and steel factories laid on the foothills of Karabük Village, which is a residential area with only 13 households, KARDEMİR, which is among the largest industrial establishments in our country today, and Karabük Village with 13 households, which is the 78th province of our country, has a population of 244 thousand. If we consider the city of Karabük together, I think the well-being and civilization provided by the Karabük Iron and Steel Factories, the pleasure and strength it gives to its country will be better understood.
Iron and Steel was born 81 years ago in this city, it has grown and developed in this city. While he was growing and developing, he also developed and developed Karabük, where he came to life.

These facilities, which were decided to be closed in 1994 on the grounds that they completed their economic and technological life, came to the brink of closing for the second time in the early 1995s after the privatization of 2000. Kardemir, which stood up again with the investments it made after 2002, is now entering its 81st year with new hopes and new goals.
Our target is to increase Kardemir to a production level of 2019 million tons at the end of 3,5 and to achieve a world-class production.
Our goal is to increase product diversity with high value-added strategic products, thus contributing to the closure of our country's foreign trade deficit, as well as improving our competitiveness.
Our goal is to increase our productivity with our product and service quality while reducing our costs in all production processes.
Our goal is to achieve a sustainable success that will contribute to the well-being and happiness of our employees, suppliers, customers, shareholders, Karabük people and our country while completing all our environmental investments and becoming a more environmentally friendly Kardemir.
We will accomplish this by giving hand in hand with our faith in Kardemir, Karabük sevdamız, our country love and our faith in each other.
