Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continues agricultural production in the Atatürk Forest Farm lands it rents. In October 2022, the Metropolitan Municipality, which brought the barley seeds together with the soil on the 315-decare Atatürk Forest Farm land within the borders of the Etimesgut district, started the harvesting work.

After many years, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which carried out agricultural production on the land of Atatürk Forest Farm (AOÇ), which is the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, started the barley harvest.

Products will be distributed as animal feed

The products obtained after harvest will be distributed as concentrate feed to small family businesses engaged in animal production in rural districts of Ankara.

ABB Rural Services Department Agricultural Engineer Volkan Dinçer gave information about the agricultural production works carried out on the Atatürk Forest Farm land and said, “As the Rural Services Department, we have started to bring the Atatürk Forest Farm lands, which were entrusted to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to agriculture again. We planted barley in 315 decares of land in October and started to harvest. We will distribute the products we obtain as concentrate feed support to small family businesses by making barley paste.”
