We set our goal to complete our project in 4 years.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement about the Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Railway Project. Referring to their program in Kayseri at the beginning of his speech, Karaismailoğlu said that they conducted a field inspection at the Kayseri Airport New Terminal Building, and that they carried out the first rail welding ceremony of the Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital YHT Station Tram Line.

TRANSPORTATION TIME WILL DECREASE FROM 3,5 HOURS TO BELOW 1 HOUR

Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the length of the Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Railway Project will be 142 kilometers and will be built in the form of a new double line in accordance with the design speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

“There will be 12 tunnels with a total length of 900 thousand 9 meters on the line. Our longest tunnel will be 3 thousand 280 meters. On our High Speed Train Line, 2 bridges with a total length of 395 thousand 18 meters; There will be 20 overpasses and 116 underpasses. We will also construct 21 viaducts along the line. We have started the high-speed train tenders, for which we are intensively preparing, and we are finalizing them this month. We set our goal to complete our project in 4 years. With the commissioning of our Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Line; The line between Yerköy and Kayseri will decrease from 170 kilometers to 142 kilometers. The transportation time will decrease from 3,5 hours to less than 1 hour. When our project is completed, it will be a serious alternative to the road transportation between Yerköy and Kayseri, which takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. With the activation of the line; Ankara-Kayseri transportation time, which is provided in 7 hours by the existing conventional railway, will be reduced to 2 hours. With this line, we will have the opportunity to transport 1 million passengers and 11 thousand tons of freight in 650 year between our Ankara-Kırıkkale-Yerköy-Şefaatli-Yenifakılı-Himmetdede-Boğazköy and Kayseri stations.”

BOĞAZKÖPRÜ LOGISTICS CENTER WILL BE AN IMPORTANT LOAD TRANSFER CENTER

Stating that they have also established a logistics center with a carrying capacity of 620 million tons on an area of 1,8 thousand square meters in Boğazköprü, Kayseri, Karaismailoğlu said, “When Boğazköprü Logistics Center becomes operational, Kayseri will increase its share in international transportation corridors and become an important freight transfer center. When we say, 'We have survived the age of railways', we are calling out to those who do not believe us; Since 2003, we have been mobilized for the railways. We quickly stood up to our old, not renewed, not even a nail nailed lines. We have brought TCDD, which does not know about investment, to produce its own national train in 19 years. We implemented the domestic and national signaling project. For the first time in railways, we started to produce railway vehicles and equipment with domestic designs. With the modernization of our railways, which have been neglected for many years, we are bringing our country together with the High Speed Train.

BY STARTING RAIL WELDING WORKS AT ANAFARTALAR STATION, WE LEAVE A SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE BEHIND

Underlining that despite those who do not know what the project is, they make railway transportation on the east-west and north-south lines contribute to the economy, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“Because our aim is to support Turkey, which produces with every mode of transportation. For this purpose, we work with all our strength and use our resources in the most efficient way. We have laid a total of 213 thousand, 2 kilometers of new lines across the country, of which 149 kilometers are high-speed train lines. In this way, we increased our railway network to 12 kilometers. Through our logistics centers, we integrate our railways with our land and airlines. Within the scope of our railway investments, our urban rail systems have a special importance. We are making one of our rail system investments for the city in Kayseri. Last year, we started the construction of the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram Line. With the ceremony we held before we came here, we left behind another important milestone by starting rail welding works at Anafartalar station, which is the connection point to the existing tram system. Our project, which is 803 kilometers long and consists of 7 stations, will strengthen the power of Kayseri's urban rail public transportation infrastructure. With this new line, our citizens of Kayseri can uninterruptedly; It will reach Kayseri City Hospital, Intercity Bus Terminal and Furniturekent. An important transportation opportunity will also be provided for our students and academicians going to Nuh Naci Yazgan University. We will increase Kayseri's rail system length from 11 kilometers to 35 kilometers, and the number of stations from 42 to 55.”

WE WILL INCREASE KAYSERİ'S NUMBER OF RAIL SYSTEM VEHICLES FROM 69 TO 74

Underlining that they will increase the number of rail system vehicles in Kayseri from 5 to 69 with 74 new tram vehicles to be procured within the scope of the project, Karaismailolu noted that they continue their construction works on a 300/7 basis with 24 personnel. Explaining that they will complete the construction works in a few months and speed up the electromechanical works, Karaismailoğlu said, "We plan to open our line, which according to the contract, should end in October next year, at the end of summer at the latest, before the schools open."

RESTORATION OF HISTORICAL BRIDGES OF TEKGÖZ, HÖBEKTAŞ AND KAPUZBAŞI COMPLETED

Explaining that they made another important investment in Kayseri, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“We have completed the restoration works of the Historical Tekgöz and Höbektaş Bridges in our Kocasinan district and the Kapuzbaşı Historical Bridge in our Yahyalı District and we are putting our bridges back into service. As you know, Kayseri, with its 6-year-old history, contains many artifacts bearing the traces of history. The historical assets inherited from many civilizations from the Hittites to the Byzantines, from the Seljuks to the Ottoman Empire are very valuable in terms of cultural tourism and faith tourism. What we need to do first is to protect and promote these unique accumulations of Kayseri in the most accurate way. I wish our Historical Tekgöz, Höbektaş and Kapuzbaşı Bridges, which have started to serve again with these thoughts, to be conducive to good luck.”

Karaismailoğlu said, “As the Ministry, we attach great importance to preserving our historical bridges, which are important in terms of both cultural and technological history, in order to transfer them to future generations, by restoring them in accordance with their original form,” Karaismailoğlu said, adding that as the administrators of this country, they are responsible for preserving historical values and transferring them to future generations. Expressing that they have to identify today's needs in the best way and respond to the needs of the age, Karaismailoğlu said, "In the last 19 years, under the leadership of our President, we have added giant works of art besides the unique works such as Tekgöz, Höbektaş and Kapuzbaşı historical bridges, which are inherited from our ancestors."

OVER 19 BILLION INVESTMENTS IN KAYSERİ IN 8 YEARS

Emphasizing that they have implemented giant projects one by one in Kayseri as in all of Turkey, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu drew attention to the fact that they have invested more than 19 billion in Kayseri's transportation and communication infrastructure in the last 8 years. Pointing out that they have increased Kayseri's divided highway, which was only 2003 kilometers until 83, to 19 kilometers in 651 years, Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the investments:

“There was only 1 kilometer of Bituminous Hot Paved road, we increased it to 467 kilometers. We introduced our citizens of Kayseri to safety and comfort on the roads. We turned the Kayseri-Sivas road, which is 56,2 kilometers, and the Kayseri-Niğde road, which is 124,3 kilometers, into divided roads. Kayseri; We connected Niğde, Nevşehir, Sivas, Adana and Yozgat with divided roads. We opened the Garipçe, Mimar Sinan and Himmetdede Köprülü Junctions, which give a breath of fresh air to urban traffic. We put the Bogazköprü Group Bridges into service by completing the Bünyan Köprülü Junction and the connection roads. In 2020, we completed the construction of the 1,9 kilometer-long Pınarbaşı-Sarız Köprülü Junction and 2 bridges located at the intersection of Pınarbaşı-Kahramanmaraş State Road. Thus, we increased travel safety and ensured continuity in traffic flow in this section of Pınarbaşı city crossing, where the traffic density is high. Right now; 2 important highways with a total project value of 16 billion, such as Kayseri-Sivas Junction-Bünyan Road, Develi West Ring Road and Develi Northern Ring Road, Develi-Yahyalı Road, Felahiye-Özvatan-Kermelik Road, Boğazlıyan-Felahiye Road, Kayseri-Pınarbaşı Road. Our work continues on our project. In addition, we successfully continue our Anafartalar- Mobilyakent Tram Line construction works. We are implementing our high-speed train project soon. Again, with its ever-growing economy, Kayseri's need for air transport, which is the leading actor of international transportation and trade, is also increasing. The number of passengers, which was 2003 thousand in 325, exceeded 2020 million 19 thousand people in 1 despite the Covid-161 epidemic process. Since the existing terminal building can no longer provide the desired service quality to the passengers due to the intensity experienced, it has become necessary to build a new domestic terminal. We have started to build a new airport that befits the people of Kayseri and befits this city, which is the sacred trust of Mimar Sinan. Thus, Kayseri will have a new airport that can provide quality service to 6 million passengers a year.”

KAYSERİ TAKES A MORE IMPORTANT POSITION IN AIR TRANSPORT AND TRAFFIC

Stating that they have completed the terminal building ground improvement, multi-storey car park construction, ground improvement, excavation and filling works, insulation, reinforced concrete and precast flooring productions, and excavation, filling and ground improvement works for apron barrier, power center, access control and ARFF buildings since they started the works, he said. Karaismailoğlu said that they continue to excavate terminal buildings, insulation, reinforced concrete and apron and taxiway excavation and filling works. Karaismailoğlu said, “Kayseri will assume a much more important position in air transport and traffic” and noted that the commercial life in Kayseri, which is a commercial city, will become more active with the projects to be made.

WE ARE PLANNING THE FOLLOWING 50 YEARS

Drawing attention to domestic and national production, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Turkey, with the AK Party government, has put up a very tough struggle for national independence and national economy. This struggle still continues. We continue this struggle inside and outside with the strength we get from our nation.

On the other hand, we are walking with happy steps towards our 100th anniversary, and we are planning exactly 50 years from today, from transportation to communication. Today; Counting the days to launch the National Electric Train set on the rails, Türksat 5B, which also has domestic and national equipment, will launch into space at 19 on 6.58 December, will place the national communication satellite Türksat 6A into orbit in 2023 and make it available to our nation, with Public Private Cooperation projects. There is a Turkey that has implemented 30 years of development projects in 10 years and exported models without a single penny coming out of our nation's pockets, that has made Turkey a logistics superpower, and that will reduce the logistics costs of our exporters and industrialists with the revolution it has started in the railways. There is a Turkey that realizes the design of a carbon neutral country and turns dreams into reality. This is thanks to the continuous work and political stability of the AK Party governments.”

WE LEFT OUR BACKS ON OUR GREAT NATION, NOT FOREIGN COUNTRIES LIKE OTHERS

Explaining that they will expand the domestic technologies by increasing the locality rates in the transportation and communication areas under the responsibility of the Ministry, Karaismailoğlu noted that the preparations for the 5G program, 6G, which are being tried to be implemented with domestic and national resources, are in this direction. Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport, said, "Our Ministry has contributed 2002 million 1 thousand annually to employment with the projects it has carried out since 20," and concluded his words as follows:

“Our goal is to increase this contribution and to be among the top 10 economies of the world together with our youth. Whatever we do for this beloved nation is less. Whatever we do for our Kayseri is appropriate. Our government and party organization consider it a great honor to be at the service of our people. With the vision of our President and the contribution of our 'Railroad Reform', we will continue our work with national projects that will accelerate the development of our rail systems. They serve holistic development in all areas of Turkey, from agriculture to tourism. We know that we are not alone in Turkey's development journey. We leaned our backs on our great nation, not on foreign countries to which they begged, like others, by writing letters. We stood by and at the forefront of every work done for the good of this nation. Our caravan of investment and service continues, despite mind-blowing attempts at blocking. We are the way to the heart of this beloved nation, we are making a way. Under the leadership of our President, we will continue to carry out projects that shed light on the future, with service mobilization. We will continue our efforts to provide the most accurate services to our nation with our projects and investments.”
