İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Club Amputee Football Team Coach Evren Uyanık has been appointed as the coach of the Egypt Amputee Football National Team, which will participate in the African Nations Cup to be held in Egypt between October 28 and November 5. The development, which is a first in the history of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, created a picture of pride in the city. In addition, for the first time in the history of amputee football, a coach from Turkey will have worked abroad.

Coach Evren Uyanık said, “I aim to apply the same understanding and discipline in Egypt as we represent Izmir well in amputee football in Turkey. I came to this position at the suggestion of Team CEO Khaled Abdel Hafeez. Egypt finished seventh in the last African Cup of Nations, but our current target is the top three.
