Solar Energy Ideathon; It was held at Ege University Solar Energy Institute between October 22-23. PVRefaCE organized the idea marathon named “BEST ForSolar” within the scope of BEST For Energy Project, which aims to make our country a production center in the clean energy sector and to ensure İzmir's smart specialization in the clean energy and clean technology sector. His team won with the project titled “RECYCLING OF CRYSTAL SILICUM PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS”.
On the first day of the event, METU GÜNAM President Prof. Dr. Raşit TURAN, Smart Solar Technologies Chairman of the Board Halil DEMİRDAĞ, Enerjisa Production Operations Engineer Çiğdem AYYILDIZ, Enisolar Company Manager Enis FAKIOĞLU and HSA Energy Sales and Marketing Director Mehmet AYBAŞ informed the participants about solar energy and its importance. While the participants worked in teams to produce innovative ideas and applicable solutions for 24 hours, industry companies and academicians contributed to the teams with mentorship support.
On the second day of the event, innovative projects prepared by 11 teams from 15 different universities participating in the Ideathon competition in order to increase the use of solar energy, which has easy access and high energy potential, were presented to the jury.
The PVRefaCE Team won the first prize with their project “RECYCLING OF CRYSTAL SILICUM PHOTO VOLTAIC PANELS”, the second prize was won by the Powea team with their “SUBSTANTIAL SOLUTIONS TO THE SUSTAINABILITY PROBLEMS” project and the Alternative Vision team won the third prize with their “NEW GENERATION GREENHOUSE” project.
