The World's Longest Bridge Set a New Record

Figures announced by the Zhuhai Port management show that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge has broken a new record. The bridge was used by 130 thousand passengers in both directions on the third day of Chinese New Year. This figure represents the highest number of passengers since the bridge started service. The bridge's previous record was 115 thousand passengers during last year's Autumn Festival and National Holiday period. Thus, a new record was broken for the world's longest bridge-tunnel transverse route.

On the other hand, 310 thousand passengers and 41 thousand passengers crossed the sea via bridges and tunnels in the direction of entry and exit over the weekend. This number corresponds to a 5,3-fold increase in the number of passengers and a 2,4-fold increase in the number of vehicles compared to last year's Spring Festival period. The port management reported that it recorded 184 thousand passengers entering and 24 thousand vehicles entering.
