Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made important statements regarding the KonyaRay project. Uraloğlu said, “We will build the project in 3 separate stages. We will increase the total number of lines to four by adding a new line between the 28 km Konya Station and Kayacık Logistics Center, which is the 1st stage of our project, which we delivered on April 17,4. We will operate YHT from 2 lines, suburban and conventional lines from 2 lines. The suburban system with 13 platforms will also serve the industrial zone. Thus, we will reduce the traffic density experienced during the working hours of entry and exit. We will also reduce the 1-hour travel time to 30 minutes.” said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made various visits and inspections in Konya. Minister Uraloğlu also made important statements about KONYARAY within the scope of the Konya program.

Minister Uraloğlu said, “We are happy to bring another giant service and work to Konya with the KONYARAY Project. With the KONYARAY Project, we are once again in the presence of our brothers and sisters from Konya, saying "THE RIGHT STEPS FOR THE CENTURY OF TURKEY". With our project with a total length of 45,9 km, we will both provide fast and economical public transportation services and improve freight transportation between Konya Train Station, City Center, OIZs and Industrial areas, Airport, Logistics Center and Pınarbaşı. We will build the project in 3 separate stages. We will also reduce the 1 hour travel time to 30 minutes. We will provide a connection from the airport to the city center and the high-speed train station. In addition, we will be able to carry industrial loads to the logistics center more easily by planning fishbone lines to industrial zones over time.”

Reminding that after the first stage, the suburban line in the 2nd stage, which will enter Konya 3nd and 2rd Industrial Zone, will be built as a double line, Uraloğlu said, “We are planning to build the 3th line to the 4rd Stage between Kaşınhanı-Konya Station, Kayacık Logistics- Pınarbaşı. The work of our project continues successfully. Implementation-based project work continues. We created a geodetic network along the 17.4 kilometer route in our first stage. We have completed the assignment and compaction of reference and polygon points. We scanned 250 meters along the line. We started to work on the transfer of infrastructure facilities with all public institutions and organizations. We have obtained the permissions of the Conservation Board for the registered structures. By starting the design and project works, we produce projects for implementation in a fast manner in order of priority. Construction works have also started in the sections where the project has been completed. We are doing foundation excavation and pile production at Meram Bridge. As of July 24, we also started the electrification and dismantling works of the existing suburban line. We carry out the demolition of buildings and structures located in Konya Station and coinciding with the project route. The "Connection Agreement" process to be signed between TCDD and TEIAS continues. We will start production after the delivery of the agreement to us. We have also completed the necessary preparations for the superstructure production within the scope of the project. Following the completion of the infrastructure, we will also start the superstructure productions in the field according to the work schedule. When the project is completed, Konya will have the opportunity to travel with KONYARAY in the comfort of the metro.” used his statements.

Minister Uraloğlu thanked all TCDD and Konya Metropolitan Municipality and contractor company employees, from the worker to the engineer, who contributed to the project and brought it to this important stage.
