A total of 56 kilos 230 grams of natural human hair, with a value of 1 million 348 thousand Turkish Liras, was seized by the Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Commerce in consecutive operations at the Kapıköy Customs Gate.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, Customs Enforcement teams, within the scope of the risk analysis and targeting studies they carried out, followed a person coming from Iran to enter Turkey, considering him suspicious. When the person who was followed by the teams showed uneasy movements, the relevant person was sent to the x-ray scanning system.

Upon receiving suspicious concentrations from the person during the x-ray scan, a detailed physical search was initiated. As a result of the checks of the Customs Enforcement teams, 4 kilos and 900 grams of natural human hair were seized from under the person's shoe sole and from his accompanying suitcase.

The value of the human hair seized as a result of the operation carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams was determined to be 117 thousand 665 Turkish Liras.

In another operation carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams at the Kapıköy Customs Gate, a private vehicle coming to enter Turkey was monitored. In line with the risk analysis, the vehicle was deemed suspicious and taken to the search hangar and sent to the x-ray scanning system for detailed scanning. Upon receiving suspicious concentrations as a result of the scan, the teams started a detailed physical search and caught 51 kilos, 330 grams of natural human hair wrapped in nylon bags, hidden in the drums inside the vehicle.

It was determined that the value of the seized human hair was 1 million 231 thousand Turkish Liras.
