Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu attended the opening ceremony of the Hasankeyf-2 Bridge on the Batman-Hasankeyf-Gercüş-Midyat Road, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also attended and made a speech via video conference method.

Karaismailoğlu said, “Today, we are opening the Hasankeyf Bridge, which we embroidered like a golden ring on the Batman-Hasankeyf-Gercüş-Midyat Road. The Hasankeyf-2 Bridge, which we built on the Tigris river, has taken its place among the longest bridges in our country in the 1001 meter long divided road standard. The longest leg height of our bridge, which also has a pedestrian road, is 90 meters and the widest span is 168 meters. With our bridge; "The connection between Batman, Mardin and Habur Border Gate will be ensured securely."
"With the Hasankeyf Bridge, a total annual savings of 29 million lira will be achieved"
Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the Hasankeyf Bridge will enable local people to travel more economically and more economically, and stated that the Hasankeyf Bridge will save a total of 20 million lira per year, 9 million lira from time and 29 million lira from fuel.
Karaismailoğlu said, “Every project we do is evaluated in terms of its environmental results. Thanks to the distances we shorten with our Hasankeyf-2 Bridge, there will be 3 thousand 895 tons less emissions into the atmosphere. In 2003, we increased the length of the divided road, which was only 15 kilometers in Batman, by more than ten times, to 162 kilometers. The total cost of our highway projects currently under construction in Batman is around 2 billion TL. Batman has strengthened links with the environment we create transportation systems in the provinces and throughout Turkey, "he said.

Emphasizing that they will be at the service of Batman and all South East provinces with many more projects that will add abundance to the business and table of the citizens, Minister Karaismailoğlu concluded his words as follows:
