Fast train passengers in danger

High-speed train passengers are in danger due to explosions in the quarry. The police officer Kamuran Tan, who has been working as an explosion-proofing expert for many years in the field of explosives. said that the blasting in the quarry can damage the YHT passengers.

In his statement, Tan stated that the stone quarry located in the Akıncı village location, near the D-650 highway in the Geyve Strait, is close to the YHT line and that the safety of the train passengers is in danger. Stating that about 3 tons of ampho type explosives were used in the quarry from time to time and as a result of these explosions, the rocks of a house size broke, Tan warned: “The YHT line is on one side of the quarry strait. YHT line is 200-300 meters away from the quarry. If YHT passes through the area where the furnace is located at that moment, there may be derailment due to the pressure. In addition, the YHT line passes right under the steep slope. Rocks breaking off the slopes due to the pressure created by the explosion may fall on the train. In the last detonation last day, YHT passed 15 minutes ago. In addition, the freight train was derailed due to explosions in January in previous years. ”

TCDD MUST TAKE PREVENTION

Tan said that TCDD should take precautions on this issue, at least it may warn that the quarry will not blast when the train passes. Explaining that the amount of explosives used in the furnace as a specialist for explosives disposal should be reduced, Tan said, “A new study should be done on this subject. Explosive license should be rearranged. This strait also includes NATO Pipeline, high voltage lines and D-650 highway. In order to avoid damage to these lines in the long term, the blasting on the quarry should be limited and controlled. In addition, these lines should be re-examined for risk. ” He spoke in the form.
