HŽ Infrastruktura announced that ten companies and consortia have submitted a contract offer of 42.6 million Euros for the modernization of the 297 km long Krizevci - Koprivnica - Hungary border rail line.
The Krizevci - Koprivnica - Hungary border line is the largest infrastructure project in Croatia and receives 85% funding from the UF through CEF. In 2016, a grant agreement was signed between INEA and HŽ Infrastruktura, providing a fund of 241,35 million Euros.
The tenderers are as follows:
1- Yapi Merkezi Insaat (Turkey) - Kolektor Kolinger (Slovenia) consortium 389.13 million euros (2.87 billion HRK)
2- Comsa (Spain) - Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie consortium 411 million EUR (3 billion HRK)
3- Strabag (Strabag Zagreb) - Strabag do.o. - Stragab Railway - RZD Internesnl consortium 404 million Euros (2.98 billion HRK);
4- China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group - China Railway Electrification Engineering Group 383.89 million Euros (2.83 billion HRK)
5- Cengiz Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret (Turkey) 328 million euros (2,42 billion HRK);
6- SA de Obras y Servicios, COPASA (Spain) EUR 414.17 million (3 billion HRK);
7- Rizzani de Eccher (Italy) - SŽ-Železniško gradbeno podjetje Ljubljana (Slovenia) consortium 390.85 million Euros (2.88 billion HRK);
8- Sinohydro Corp - Sinohydro engineering bureau 4 partners. With 327 million Euros (2,41 billion HRK);
9- Avax (Greece) offers 393 million euros (2,9 billion HRK);
10 Div Grupa (Croatia) - TSS GRADE (Slovakia) with 343.74 million Euros (HRK 2.53 billion);
The project includes the construction of the 2nd stage line, the restructuring of the existing railway and the adaptation to the trains that will travel at a speed of 160 km / h. The reconstruction of the existing route will be done in a 4,3 km long section between the Carevdar stop and the Lepavina station, and the total length of the Križevci - Koprivnica - Hungarian border will be reduced to 42.6 km.
