Carbon Emission Will Be Reduced with 'Artificial Intelligence'

Continuing its work at full speed for a sustainable world and more efficient production processes, Şişecam's Glass Color Optimization Project (CROP) with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Methods will eliminate color problems that occur during production and reduce the waste rate in production and the resulting carbon emissions.

Within the scope of the project in which Şişecam is a consortium partner with Koç University, TÜBİTAK Artificial Intelligence Institute and Analythinx Bilişim Hizmetleri, an infrastructure will be developed to minimize color differences and to identify the root cause of possible color-related problems in glass production with artificial intelligence models and to provide quick solution suggestions. .

With the project developed to improve color quality in the glass industry, it is aimed to integrate technology and knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence into production and contribute to national knowledge.

The project, the first works of which will begin at the Şişecam Eskişehir Glassware factory, will last 2 years.

After the completion of the project, which once again demonstrates the value Şişecam attaches to innovation and continuous development, it is expected to have a great impact by transferring the information obtained to other factories.
