Test Drives in Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project Will Start on January 1: With the completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) Railway Project, which will start test drives on January 1, the travel time between Asia and Europe will be reduced to 15 days.

Work on the completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) Railway Project, which forms a part of the railway network between Asia and Europe, gained momentum.

With the project, which is planned to be implemented by the end of the year, the delivery of the products in Asia to Europe will be reduced to 15 days.

The construction of the 826-kilometer Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) Railway Project, starting from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, passing through Georgia's Tbilisi and Ahılkelek cities, to Kars, was started in 2008.

After the realization of the project that will make freight transport from Europe to China uninterrupted, freight transport is planned to be completely shifted to this railway.

Kars Governor Rahmi Dogan, said the first phase of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line will be completed by the end of the year, he said.

Dogan said that the biggest obstacle on the line is an expropriation problem and that this problem has also been solved.

“The biggest obstacle on this line was an expropriation problem in Kümbet village. At this point, a meeting was held with our citizens and an agreement was reached. Our citizens are evacuating their homes of their own accord. We, as the state, provided them with all kinds of opportunities. Expropriations cause unpleasant images. However, thanks to the common sense of our citizens in Kümbet village, we settled down and solved the problem, and 18 houses were evacuated in the area where the route passed in Kümbet village. We will quickly demolish these evacuated sites and deliver them to the company. Here, the obstacle in front of the company will be removed. "

TEST DRIVES WILL START ON JANUARY 1
Stressing that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway is of great importance for the development of the region, Dogan announced that they will start the test drive with the new year. Dogan said:

“We will start a test drive on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway on January 1. In addition, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line will be opened. Of course, the opening of this line will make a very serious contribution to our region and our region and will lead to investments in our province. This line to be opened is a single line in the first place. Then we will start the construction work of the second line and we will revive this route. We have completed the first line by the end of the year. The second line already had a project. In the first place, we worked on the first line. At the same time, we will have activated two lines in one way or another. " Governor Doğan expressed his belief that the project will also benefit greatly in export. Emphasizing the importance the state attaches to the project, Doğan continued his words as follows:

“There will also be a great benefit from the export of goods produced here. As the state, we attach great importance to the project. There are no obstacles left in front of us right now. We are just waiting for what the company has to do. I hope we will open this place together at the end of the year. The missing part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line is completed with this railway. China will send its manufactured goods to Europe and other countries through this line. China's expectation is that this line will be implemented and active as soon as possible. After this line is connected, products sent from China to Europe in one and a half and two months will go in 15 days. In other words, the duration of the products sent to Europe via this line will be reduced to a period of 15 days, and the products produced in a safer and much faster way will be delivered to European Union countries.

Reminding that the region has been declared a center of attraction, Governor Doğan called on businessmen to invest in the region. Doğan said, “We are in an area where terrorist incidents are almost never experienced. We invite all our citizens and businessmen to the region for investment. As you know, this place has been declared a 'center of attraction' by our government. Investors will be guided by our state with different aids. We are here as a state. We are waiting for businessmen to invest in Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır and Ağrı. We will show them the necessary convenience and walk with them. We will provide our assistance and support as if we were building our own factory with them. " He spoke in the form.
