Applications for the Global Climate Change Photography Contest, organized for the 10th time this year by Alarko Carrier, the pioneer of the air conditioning industry, start on 7 August. The competition, which will be open to all amateur and professional photography enthusiasts until September 24, will be rewarded with shots that reflect the effects of the changing climate on the world.
The Global Climate Change Photo Contest, organized by Alarko Carrier, which produces sustainable solutions in the air conditioning industry, to raise awareness about climate change affecting the whole world, is welcoming its 10th year. Applications for the competition, in which the photographs that most strikingly reflect the effects of global climate change on our planet will be awarded, begin on August 7th. Anyone who is interested in photography as an amateur or professional can participate in the competition. All photography enthusiasts who follow Alarko Carrier's social media accounts until September 24 and share their photos with the hashtag #AlarkoCarrierKüreselİklim2023 by tagging @alarkocarrier Instagram or @alarko_carrier Twitter account can apply for the contest.
The top 12 photos will be rewarded.
In the competition where the photographs that frame the effects of global climate change on the ecosystem will be evaluated, the first 12 photographs will be awarded. The winner of the competition will be awarded the iPhone 14 128 GB mobile phone, while the second will win the DJI Mini 3 Pro (DJI RC Display Controller) Drone, and the third will be the Canon Eos M50 Mark II 15-45 mm IS STM Vlogger Kit Vlog camera. Determined by the Selection Committee; Zhiyun Weebill 2 Gimbal award will be given to the three photo owners placed in the fourth, fifth and sixth places. Seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth place holders of six photographs will win a gift voucher worth 3 thousand TL from MediaMarkt. In addition, all winners in the top 12 will receive a 12-month subscription to Atlas Magazine.
Applications will be evaluated in two stages
Photos uploaded “publicly” on Instagram and Twitter until September 24th, will be uploaded to Alarko Carrier's micro site after editorial screening. In the evaluation to be made by the pre-selection committee between 25-28 September, the best 50 photographs will be determined. The photos that pass the pre-selection will be evaluated by the Selection Committee of the competition and the best 20 photos will be determined. The photographs that made it into the top 20 will be evaluated in the final voting to be held by the Selection Committee between 29 September – 8 October. The finalists and winners of the award will be announced on the official website and social media accounts of Alarko Carrier on October 16, 2023.
