When will Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line open

When will the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line open: Transport Minister Binali Yıldırım announced that they aim to complete the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line at the end of 2018.
One of the most important legs of the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train project was completed.
5 thousand 120 meters, Turkey's longest high-speed railway tunnel light appeared in Yozgat Akdağmadeni Tunnel.
NTV Ankara Intelligence Chief Ahmet Ergen at that point Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım spoke with the project.
The questions asked and answers to Minister Yıldırım are as follows:
Mr. Minister, let's first say good luck ...
Today we are witnessing a very historical moment. Ankara, Sivas, Yozgat is also the longest tunnel in the area of high-speed train line in Turkey today we see the light. We opened the tunnel by striking the last blow.
Another important step for the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train was completed. What is the work? When will Ankara-Sivas high-speed train enter service?
The infrastructure services of the project have been over 75 percent. We have found 50 percent of infrastructure superstructure. The project's reason most difficult terrain conditions in the tunnel speed train lines in Turkey. There are 52 viaducts. There are cut and cover tunnels with 16 207 underpass overpasses. There are 566 culverts. What is the feature of the line? Before this line was opened, it was 12 hours from Ankara to Sivas, and when this line was opened, this time would decrease to 2 hours. In about 1 hour, you will go from Yozgat to Sivas or Ankara. This is where Sivas and Yozgat meet.
We build it step by step from Beijing to London with modern iron bars on the historical Silk Road. Marmaray was an important link in this. From now on, Erzincan Erzurum Kars Kars Tbilisi Baku will be completed in Baku this year and will arrive in London in a very short time. These lands, which have witnessed caravans for centuries, will open a new horizon for people with high-speed trains.
Ankara Sivas Yozgat high speed train line is projected until 2020, but our goal is to complete the line by the end of 2018. For this, they work day and night devotedly.
What other projects will be given priority this year?
In the direction of Erzincan, a 50 km section tender is about to be made. The extension of the high speed train from Konya to Karaman will be completed at the end of this year. Work continues between Bursa and Bilecik. Work continues in Izmir in the direction of Bergama from Aliağa. It continues from Torbalı to Selçuk. We started a mobilization on railways. On the highways, divided road single road work and new projects will continue. Our highway projects will be activated.
We will also finish two big projects. One of them is Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the other is Izmit Bay is the 4th largest bridge in the world. In addition, we will have completed the Istanbul Bursa Balıkesir Manisa İzmir highway between Istanbul and Bursa by the end of this year, including the bridges. Together with the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge plus the access roads around it, we will open the 215 km section within this year.
Is it possible to give the exact date?
By the end of August, Yavuz Sultan Selim and its connection roads will be completed and will be ready for opening. Izmit Bay Bridge will be completed at the end of May. Thus, we will be able to open the road from Istanbul to Iznik. At the end of the year, we will open up to Bursa. Again at the end of 2016, we will have opened the Eurasia Tunnel.
Returning to high-speed train projects again. We were making news about a shorter distance line between Ankara and Istanbul, which we could call the new line, but also on the agenda. Will a new line be in terms of high speed train?
It is also being considered. It is a speed railway project extending from Ankara Ayaş to Akyazı and then to Yavuz Selim Bridge. The work of that project continues. But it is not a project on our short term agenda. It is a project that we will realize in the medium and long term. His work continues.
