International Cinema Symposium, held for the third time this year; In addition to the partnership of TRNC Presidency, TRNC Assembly, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, TRNC Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Culture Department, Turkish World Culture Art and Cinema Foundation, Communication Research Center (İLAD) and IKSAD. This year's symposium, whose main theme is "Culture - Identity - Ideology", aims to open these concepts to scientific and artistic discussion on the axis of cinema. The symposium, which is open to the participation of researchers, academicians, students and artists from all fields of social sciences, aims to ensure that the topics discussed are discussed not only in cinema and art, but also in other disciplines related to cinema.

At the symposium, where the International Short Film and International Photography Competition will also be held, the online exhibition of the International Photography Competition will be presented to art lovers.
Near East University 3rd Cinema Symposium Film Festival finalists have been determined
From a total of 3 applications made through the FilmFreeway page of the Near East University 217rd Cinema Symposium Film Festival, 166 films that met the specifications were accepted into the competition and delivered to the preliminary jury. The preliminary jury was chaired by Cinema Writer Hayri Çölaşan and consisted of Academician Azime Cantaş, Director Fehmi Öztürk, Academician Göral Erinç Yılmaz, Academician Mert Yusuf Özlük, Academician Özgür İpek, Academician Serkan Fundalar, Producer Süleyman Bedri Kalyoncuoğlu, Academician Zeyde Yalıner Örek. With the evaluation, a total of 16 films were determined as finalists in the Animation, Documentary, Experimental, Fiction and Student Short Film categories.
