The rush for gifts has begun before the upcoming Father's Day. We plan to buy the most clothes, perfumes and watches this year to make the capeless heroes of our lives happy. According to the 'Father's Day Shopping Preferences Survey', 62 percent of consumers will buy their father's gifts online.

Father's Day, celebrated on the third Sunday of June, has arrived. Even though the rights of fathers, who give strength to people with their wealth and never withhold their compassion and love from their children, are not paid with anything, consumers will not forget their fathers on this father's day. According to the “Father's Day Shopping Preferences Survey” conducted by Digital Turbine in collaboration with the independent research company GWI, 67 percent of consumers plan to buy gifts to make their fathers happy on this special day. While 46 percent of the respondents think about buying clothes as a gift for their father, 41 percent will buy perfume, 31 percent will buy watches and 26 percent will buy electronic products.

Home order on the rise

Research results once again revealed the rise of mobile and online shopping. E-commerce platforms, whose preference rate is increasing day by day, will be indispensable for consumers on Father's Day as well, thanks to their wide range of product options, ease and accessibility. While 62 percent of the respondents stated that they will use the home delivery option when ordering online, 38 percent will go to physical stores. While 59 percent of the respondents stated that they would prefer to make purchases through the application when shopping from their mobile devices for Father's Day, 58% of them stated that they would use their smartphones while shopping online.

Rewards and coupons increase shopping

The research, which reveals the shopping preferences and habits of users in Turkey, also provides important information to brands and advertisers for their marketing plans for this period. 38 percent of respondents said that mobile ads helped them discover the gift they would receive. 37 percent of consumers say they are influenced by social media, 33 percent by search engines, 33 percent by recommendations and 24 percent by website advertisements. 46 percent of consumers state that quality products increase their tendency to shop on Father's Day. In this period, when inflation reduced their purchasing power, 43 percent of consumers state that prizes or coupons play a decisive role in product selection. While 36 percent of the respondents pay attention to the impeccable customer service when purchasing a product, 29 percent care about having enough information about the brand or product.

Phone ads are catchy

Advertising campaigns are of great importance on special days when competition between brands is greater than ever before. Father's Day Shopping Preferences Survey; It also clears up the question marks about which platform brands should choose on Father's Day. 38 percent of the respondents stated that they discovered the gifts they would receive while shopping online thanks to mobile advertisements. 71 percent of consumers, on the other hand, say that when they encounter an advertisement about Father's Day on their smartphones, they remember that product or campaign message better. 53 percent of the respondents stated that they would buy the product directly from the Father's Day advertisements on their mobile devices. 46% of the participants say that they will prefer to shop online for Father's Day this year because it is easy to use and 37% of them say that the prices are lower.
