Plans have been amended for Abu Dhabi's metro network project, greatly shortening the length of the line. While the length of the line was thought to be 130 km in the first plans, it was decided to make the line as 70 km by making changes.
The 18 km first phase of the line will be ready in 2020, at the latest, within the scope of new plans. It is planned that the vehicles will reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h, including 100 km/h underground.
In addition, two 40 km tram lines will be included in the transportation plan by 2018. The tram will run at an average speed of 20 km / h.
