Denmark and Ukraine signed an agreement allowing Ukrainians to produce military equipment on Danish soil.
Denmark and Ukraine signed an agreement yesterday that allows Ukrainian defense companies to open production facilities in Denmark. Ukrainian Defense Industry Minister Herman Smetanin announced this in a Facebook post. Denmark has become the first foreign country to allow Ukrainians to produce weapons on its territory.
In an announcement about the agreement on the website of the Danish Ministry of Industry, it is stated that the two countries will remove obstacles to their cooperation and work to prevent the misuse of the technology they plan to share.
“This is a unique example of international cooperation for the Ukrainian defense industry,” Smetanin wrote, posting a photo of himself signing the agreement with Danish Industry Minister Morten Bødskov.
"Denmark is a true friend of the Ukrainian defense industry and a reliable ally in our fight against the aggressor. Ukraine will do its best to strengthen the defense capabilities of Denmark and its allies. We are stronger together!" wrote the Minister of Defense Industry of Ukraine Herman Smetanin.
