German automotive manufacturer Opel has prepared a special concept version for the new generation Frontera and unveiled it at the XS CARNIGHT Wörthersee event.
The new generation Opel Frontera, which Opel recently introduced to the Turkish market, has managed to attract attention. Frontera offers flexible and spacious living space with electric and hybrid engine options. An even more adventurous equipment concept has now been introduced for the robust and family-friendly SUV Opel Frontera, which ideally meets the needs of daily life.
The Opel Frontera GRAVEL stands out as an extraordinary concept vehicle presented for the first time by the brand with the lightning logo.
The new model was designed by Opel and the BlackFish Graphics design studio and brought to life by experts from Opel and XS. It was therefore a perfect fit for the vehicle’s concept that the Frontera GRAVEL would be unveiled at the special XS CARNIGHT Wörthersee event.
“The Frontera is an outstanding vehicle in every way,” said Rebecca Reinermann, Vice President Marketing at Opel and Vauxhall. “With its simple, robust design and many practical solutions, the Frontera is an ideal and affordable SUV for families and everyday adventures. We wanted to take the Frontera to the next level and show how a vehicle for everyday use can be transformed into a true adventure vehicle. The result of this process is the Frontera GRAVEL, a unique, freedom-filled and boundary-breaking show car.”
Developed from the series production version of the fully electric Frontera Electric, the Frontera GRAVEL stands out with its adventure-oriented design. It offers nature lovers the opportunity to drive without emissions, especially on nature roads. Designed with this understanding, the Frontera GRAVEL combines robust design with equipment specific to adventurous roads. The paint and coating of the vehicle's body are admirable at first glance.
The matte black roof and bonnet contrast with the matte champagne colour chosen for the Frontera GRAVEL. The exterior mirror housings, front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and the Opel lightning emblem on the black Opel Vizor are complemented by orange tones. The orange hook of the winch on the front bumper emphasises the robust appearance of the vehicle. The roof rack, designed in the same colour, has been designed with a caged look for open-air excursions.
The Thule Canyon XT chassis and additional headlights mounted on the bonnet provide better visibility when driving on difficult terrain at night. To adapt to the challenges of gravel and stone surfaces, the Frontera GRAVEL is equipped with special 7×16-inch CWE rims from BORBET.
