Holiday Working Hours in Airline: 365 Extra Flights

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that additional flights have been put into operation in air transportation in order to meet the increasing passenger demand due to the approaching Eid al-Adha. Uraloğlu said, “In this period covering the dates of May 30 - June 10, 2025, a total of 345 additional flights were planned by our carriers, 20 of which are domestic and 365 of which are international.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that additional flights have been put into operation in air transportation in order to meet the increasing passenger demand due to the approaching Eid al-Adha. Minister Uraloğlu said, “Additional flights have been planned by our carriers so that our citizens can reach their loved ones more quickly during the holiday.”

Uraloğlu stated that Turkish Airlines will operate 188 additional domestic flights during the holiday period, and that AJet will operate 63 additional flights, 6 domestic and 69 international, while Pegasus will operate 89 domestic and 14 international flights, for a total of 103 additional flights.

Stating that SunExpress will also contribute to the holiday rush with 5 domestic flights, Uraloğlu said, “In this period covering the dates of May 30 - June 10, 2025, a total of 345 additional flights were planned by our carriers, 20 of which are domestic and 365 of which are international. We have completed all our preparations to carry out this process smoothly at our airports.”

“All Relevant Units Will Provide Service on a 24-Hour Basis During the Holiday”

Minister Uraloğlu noted that the State Airports Authority will provide 24-hour service at airports with all its relevant units for a comfortable and safe air transportation during the Eid al-Adha holiday, and made the following statements in his statement:

“We have taken the necessary precautions to prevent any problems arising from the congestion in the airline traffic that becomes even more intense during the Eid holidays, especially at Istanbul Airport and all other airports around the country. During the Eid holiday, all relevant units will work on a 24-hour basis in coordination with stakeholders to ensure the comfortable and safe transportation of citizens.”
