The awards were given to the winners of the "Best Design and Application Competition for a Greener Antalya" organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. The applications that were ranked in the most beautiful floristry design, green area applications, landscape and city equipment designs were awarded.
The landscaping works that won the “Best Design and Implementation Competition for a Greener Antalya” organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality to increase environmental awareness and love of the environment, support the visual quality of the living environment, and encourage public interest in landscaping and urban landscape were awarded. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Cemil Böcek, department heads, NGO representatives, district municipality representatives, chamber heads, competitors and many citizens attended the ceremony held in the garden of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Education and Innovation Center.
THEY COMPETED IN FOUR MAIN CATEGORIES
The competition, which was expanded this year, was divided into 4 main categories. These categories were; “Districts Where Landscape Applications Were Evaluated and Exhibited”, “The Most Beautiful Floristry Designs”, “The Most Beautiful Green Area Applications” and “The Most Beautiful Landscape and City Equipment Designs”. The beautiful application projects made by district municipalities, arrangements, terrariums, tag designs and applications prepared by florists and projects of university students participating in these categories were also exhibited at the award ceremony.
PRIDE IN HAVING WINNED 24 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS
Speaking at the opening of the award ceremony, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department Head Dr. Çiğdem Hacıoğlu said that the main purpose of the competition is to increase environmental awareness, beautify the environment and increase interest in urban landscape. Stating that we want to create awareness in the works carried out for a “Greener Antalya”, Çiğdem Hacıoğlu said, “As Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, we are working hand in hand to beautify our Antalya. Our President Muhittin Böcek"We are proud to have been awarded 24 environmental awards in national and international platforms since the day 's took office. I congratulate our participants who were successful and deserved to receive awards in the competition," he said.
AWARDS WERE GIVEN TO THEIR BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE WORKS
At the award ceremony, 18 citizens who ranked in the “Most Beautiful Green Area Applications” category received their awards. In this category; the most beautiful terrace, apartment-site garden, residential garden, workplace garden, hobby garden and the most beautiful open and closed balconies received awards. In these areas, 3 thousand TL was presented to the participants who ranked 10rd, 2 thousand TL to the participants who ranked 15nd and 1 thousand TL and plaques to the contestants who ranked 20st. In addition, participation certificates were presented to university students, district municipalities and florists who participated in other categories, while plaques were presented to the jury members.
