In the first phase of the 2.500 new taxis that will provide 'Application-Based Taxi Transportation' in Istanbul, a tender will be held for 150 taxi plates. The last bid submission date for the tender to be held on June 12, 2025 has been determined as 11 June 2025 at 12:00. Participation in the tender will be through closed bidding. Those who wish to participate in the tender must submit their sealed envelopes containing their bid letters to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council in return for serially numbered receipts.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will put out a tender for 2.500 taxi plates in the first phase of 150 new taxis that will provide 'Application-Based Taxi Transportation'.
THE TENDER WILL BE HELD ON JUNE 12, 2025

Those wishing to participate in the tender must submit their sealed envelopes containing their bid letters to the Metropolitan Municipality Council in return for serially numbered receipts.
Within the scope of the tender, IMM determined the estimated value of each taxi plate as 4 million 250 thousand TL + VAT. The provisional guarantee fee will be 127 thousand 500 TL.
TENDER CONDITIONS
Those who want to participate in the tender must complete the specified documents and submit their applications within the specified period. Applicants must;
• Residence document showing that you live in Istanbul,
• Valid driver's license,
• Criminal record,
• Receipt showing that the temporary guarantee has been paid
• They need to submit documents such as a receipt proving that the specifications were purchased.
Only individual applications can be made to the tender and each participant will be entitled to only one license plate.
The relevant tender specifications can be obtained from the IMM Public Transportation Services Branch Directorate for 1.000 TL. Applications will be hand-delivered to the IMM Executive Board Branch Directorate and applications made via telegram, fax or mail will not be accepted.
RIGHT OF USE WILL BE LIMITED TO 29 YEARS
The regulation regarding taxis, one of the most important elements of public transportation in Istanbul, has long been a subject of public debate. With the introduction of the new plates, it is aimed to offer more options in taxi services in Istanbul. While the taxi plates issued in previous periods had an indefinite right of use, the right of use of these new taxis will be limited to 29 years.
The new taxis will be on the roads with a new design determined by the votes of Istanbulites.
