The registration excitement is beginning in the "Come to the Mosque Playing Joyfully" project, which is carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality in partnership with the Konya Provincial Mufti's Office.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said, “We continue this project with great excitement to leave beautiful marks in the spiritual world of our children, to introduce them to the mosque and the community and to help them acquire the habit of worship at a young age. Every moment our children spend in the mosque will make a valuable contribution to their future and development.”
91 THOUSAND BIKES HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED SO FAR
President Altay noted that they were very pleased with the interest in the project every year and continued as follows:
“The number of bicycles we have distributed so far within the scope of the project has reached 91 thousand. With the 12 thousand bicycles we plan to distribute this year, the total number will exceed 100 thousand, God willing. Thanks to this meaningful project, which has no equivalent in Türkiye, we are both getting our children used to the mosque and adding value to Konya, the bicycle city. We will be accepting registrations online between June 13-23. We encourage our families to participate in this beautiful project and expect all our children in our 31 districts to brighten up our mosques between June 30-August 18.”
Within the scope of the “Come to the Mosque to Play Joyfully” project carried out by Konya Metropolitan Municipality in partnership with Konya Provincial Mufti’s Office, bicycles will be given as gifts to children born between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016, and who come to the mosque for morning prayers for at least 30 days between June 18 and August 40.
