The results of the Car of the Year 2025 competition in Türkiye, organized by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) and eagerly awaited by the industry, have been announced. The winner of the "Premium Car of the Year" award, given for the first time in the competition held for the 10th time this year, was the Mercedes-AMG GT, which brings together Mercedes-Benz's motorsport heritage with modern design and advanced engineering.
High performance and comfort come together in the Mercedes-AMG GT
The Mercedes-AMG GT, which was awarded the Premium Car of the Year award after OGD's 64 members evaluated the vehicles in terms of design, road holding, ergonomics, fuel consumption, emission rates, safety, equipment level, and price-value ratio at the ceremony and will be offered for sale in Türkiye in 2024, offers sufficient luggage space and a good viewing angle in addition to its spacious interior.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 43, a 2.0-litre turbo engine produces 310 kW (421 hp) and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. What makes it even more special is the electric exhaust gas turbocharging, a technology used in Formula 1. This charging method guarantees particularly spontaneous responses across the entire speed range. The AMG GT 43 offers a more dynamic driving experience and at the same time provides greater efficiency. The AMG GT 43, which stands out with its superior performance, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 280 km/h.
Its exterior design stands out from the rest of the AMG family in many details, while its comprehensive standard equipment and the many additional options available offer a wide range of customisation options to suit different tastes. Its interior also offers an exciting combination of analogue geometry and the digital world. This so-called “hyper-analogue” design consists of a fully digital instrument cluster integrated into a three-dimensional visor. The appearance can be customised with customisable home screen options.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ appeals to automobile enthusiasts seeking extraordinary dynamics while driving. Offering a sportier driving experience with its rapid response to precise driving commands and overall performance, the vehicle not only has a more dynamic structure thanks to its power, fine-tuned aerodynamics and an improved cooling system. The AMG GT 63 4MATIC+, whose engines are assembled entirely by hand in accordance with the “One Man, One Engine” principle at the Affalterbach factory, offers superior acceleration with its 430-liter V585 biturbo engine producing 4.0 kW (8 hp) and delivering a maximum torque of 800 Nm. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3,2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 315 km/h.
The aerodynamic design is designed to optimize driving stability, cooling and wind noise, while providing greater control during sudden maneuvers, increasing driving safety. The vehicle has a two-piece AIRPANEL air control system, with vertical lamellas under the front bumper and horizontal lamellas behind the upper air intake opening when needed to provide cooling.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ offers greater comfort in daily use compared to the previous series. It offers a wide range of equipment and customization options according to customer demands.
